The church was built in the 12th century and partly rebuilt at the end of the 16th century after the religious wars. It has been restored in 1879, in 1894-95 and much more recently.

This Romanesque church has been classified as a historic monument since June 13, 1913 for its façade with arcades decorated with animals and sculptured modillions.

The presbytery and the field nearby has been sold in 8 Messidor Year 4.
